Black Warrior River borders Jefferson County on the northwestern side and is a navigable water way all the way to the coast. Its a great place for boating, fishing or just a lazy day on the water. There are many housing options along the river from seasonal rentals to summer homes or permanent homes. A lot of the homes that can be purchased are on leased land, which causes some concerns (get the details) and some home sites will be on deeded land. A lot of the developments are actually old fishing camps and have grown or developed from that.
