It is hard to believe that Halloween is already here! If you are looking for the perfect activity to do with your family this Halloween weekend then you must check out this list from Rocket City Mom! This list came to my email this morning and I wanted to share. I had no idea there were so many cheap and even free Halloween activities in Huntsville, AL and the surrounding areas! The Huntsville Botanical Gardens is one of my favorite places to visit year-round with my kids. The Bootanica event going on this Saturday, October 29th at the Garden from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm looks like a great opportunity for kids of all ages! Activities include face painting and pumpkin for the kids, bobbing for apples, a hayride through the scarecrow trail. To add to the fun, Steve the DJ will be there and there will be a costume parade that starts at 11:00 am. The cost is only $5 for members and $5 plus garden admission for non-members. Another fun activity that caught my eye from the Rocket City Mom list was the Huntsville Police Department Haunted House this Friday, October 28th from 6:00-8:00 pm. This is a free event that HPD South precinct has put on for the last five years. Last year, there were about 700 residents that came to this fun event. What a great opportunity for the kids to see officers and civilian staff in a different role than they are used to, and for free! Again, there is so many things to in the Huntsville area!
