Silverhill is the smallest town in Central Baldwin County with a population of only about 1000 people. Located at the intersection of US Hwy 104 and CR 55 make for easy access to Alabama State Hwy 50 to I-10 and just a short ride to the white sandy beaches. Fairhope with its many restaurants and unique shops is about a 20-minute drive away. Silverhill's town center with historic buildings, parks, and churches makes it a charming place to live.

If you get the opportunity to hang out in front of the porch at the Frog Pond Blue Moon Farm in Silverhill on a Sunday afternoon, do it! The farm is located just a few miles west of Mobile Bay, Fairhope, and Daphne.

The "Sunday Social" is a haven of organic life, love, and especially music. Cathe (the proprietor) invites the public to her "porch" to enjoy local songwriters and musicians. Really good, bluesy/homegrown music fills the air around the farmhouse. There are multiple tiny cabins, and tons of cool art everywhere you look. Oh, and you will enjoy a huge covered dish supper, and be sure to bring your covered dish too.

It is a four to five-hour experience that will leave a smile on your face and love in your heart. Friends and potential friends come together as a community to enjoy local talent every Sunday from fall to spring. Be sure to make your reservations early, as there is always a waiting list. The show goes on, rain or shine. I loved it, and I will return.
