    As a sixteen year resident of Magnolia Springs, I can say without question it is truly one of the most charming and unique communities anywhere. Before the days of air conditioning, Magnolia Springs was a popular resort because of the curative waters of the natural springs. Visitors would travel from all over to Mobile and catch the ferry to Magnolia Springs. Today, Magnolia Springs is less of a resort than a charming residential community, where homes along the river still get their mail delivered by boat.

    When visiting the Alabama Gulf Coast, it is worth the drive to Magnolia Springs to eat at Jesse's. The setting under a canopy of trees with twinkle lights in the evening sets the atmosphere for some of the best food in Baldwin County.
