    The little town of Brookside is home to the historical St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church. Founded in 1894, it is one of the areas oldest churches. Each November the Parish hosts the St. Nicholas Russian/Slavic Food Festival where you enjoy wonderful dishes of stuffed holupki, boiled pirohy and pigachi. Entertainment and tours of the historical church are available. It is a wonderful view of the history that is uniquely Brookside.
