Deer Valley is a lovely, well-kept community at the far north end of Dothan right at the Dale County/Midland City line. In fact, on paper the addresses are "Midland City," but it's within Dothan city limits. Homes range from about 1,500 to 2000 square feet. The community has its own Facebook group used to organize events (there have been community-wide outdoor movie nights, block parties, and yard sales), as well as to serve as a marketplace. Halloween each year is a major attraction with high participation amongst the neighborhood festively decorating their homes and yards and handing out goodies to trick-or-treaters from Deer Valley and many of the surrounding areas. This is such a great neighborhood for families, and it's such an easy commute to Dothan, Ozark, and Enterprise.
