If you have some spare time while visiting Arab be sure to stop by the Arab Historic Village in Arab City Park. The City of Arab and the Arab Historical Society have done an outstanding job to recreate a setting of what life was like in the area between 1880 to 1940. To date, ten buildings from the era have been relocated to the site. Each building is furnished with items from the period. The buildings are open to the public from March to October on Thursdays and Fridays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturday 1p.m. to 4 p.m. Or, you might want to coordinate your visit during one the special events organized throughout the year. Christmas is a special time to visit when the whole park is lit up with all kinds of activities and crafts set up for the kids.
