The Jimmy Faulkner corridor on Spanish Fort's east side has long been full of promise, but development stalled during the great recession. Anchored by Spanish Fort High School, Spanish Fort Middle School and Providence Methodist Church, a few subdivisions have gotten under way in fits and starts. Audubon, however, defied that trend.
