In addition to the relatively flat roads that weave through the 800 acre development, The Peninsula is the terminus of a bike trail that allows cyclers to ride all the way to Gulf Shores without ever being on the highway. From there, 7.8 miles of bike trails meander through the beautiful coastal forest of the Alabama Gulf State Park.

    I love living at The Peninsula! I live in a new neighborhood within Peninsula called The Haven. It is close to the Bon Secour Wildlife Preserve in the northeast corner of The Peninsula. This is a dog-friendly nature lover's delight where you can hop into your golf cart and be at one of two private piers, the tennis courts, the golf club, or the pools in minutes. It's a great place to walk and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There is new construction in The Peninsula, as well as re-sale, and we have a new development of patio homes coming soon. I can't imagine living anywhere else in Gulf Shores that has as much to offer residents.

If you live in one of the Racquet Club condos all you have to do is walk to the courts. Those living in one of the many single family homes of The Peninsula, may arrive by golf cart!     The Peninsula will be the location for the area Pro-Member Tournament. The event will be held at The Peninsula Golf Course located only five miles from Gulf Shores and down Fort Morgan Road. The tournament will be held on Monday, September 21, at 10 a.m. for members and pros from several local clubs. Keith and William who are on site Peninsula Golf Pros will be managing the event. Each team has three members and one pro. Ongoing events year round!

    The Peninsula is a gated community approximately 5 miles west on Ft. Morgan Road. Once you enter the gates, you feel that you are on vacation. The Peninsula is home to one of the finest Honors 27 hole golf courses and eight soft tennis courts. My wife and I enjoy being residents and often meet at the clubhouse grill for lunch after a round of golf or a tennis match. The lush landscaping of this development is home to a variety of animals. When walking to the fitness center at The Peninsula, we feel like we are living in an animal sanctuary! We often take a golf cart ride on the boardwalk that leads to a long pier and gazebo overlooking Mobile Bay. The sunsets are spectacular. Our grandchildren enjoy the indoor pool and outdoor pool available to owners and members. No matter your taste in homes, there are several neighborhoods and condos to choose from. The Peninsula is more than a place....its a lifestyle!!!
