Pleasant Grove is Mayberry made over. As a former resident, I can tell you first hand that if you are looking for the small town feel, away from the hustle and bustle then Pleasant Grove is the place to be. The people you see in the neighborhood grocery are the same ones you sit by Sunday morning.

At the corner of Farmers Rd and Park Rd, you will find City Hall, Pleasant Grove Park and the Community Center. The park is directly across from City Hall. Whether you work near or around this intersection or play during the day, you could visit the park for a walk during your lunch hour or take the kids for a outing at the park. It's such a great convenience for the people who work hear the park. I was amazed at the beauty of the park with its water stream, playground and swing area. Oh, so nice!

The neighboring city next to Hueytown is Pleasant Grove. Nickname as the "Good Neighbor City", Pleasant Grove is in the western suburban area of Birmingham. You can get there off of interstate 59. It's minutes away from the downtown area of Birmingham. The schools are part of Jefferson County School District. In 2011 the city was affected by a tornado, but is re-building several of the home communities. Pleasant Grove today has move forward and is recovering nicely. I see tons of improvements as I visit the city regularly while with clients. It truly is a great place to live!
