Dana Hartley Oglesby grew up in the Tuscaloosa area and started working at age sixteen in apparel retail sales. For twenty-five years, she enjoyed working in that form of sales. After undergoing dramatic adjustments in her life, at age forty, she was faced with rebuilding her life and raising her two then teenage boys, Blake and Brock, alone. In January of 2005, Dana began her rewarding career as a residential realtor in the fast paced real estate business.

However, a couple of years after Dana began her career, the real estate industry went through one of the hardest times in U.S. history. Dana not only survived but succeeded with her determination to provide for her sons, her dedication to hard work and her complete faith in God. Despite life’s setbacks, along with her faith, her optimistic outlook gives her the ability to view life as continually changing for the better and in 2013, she married Randy Oglesby. Along with her two sons, she feels blessed to have her stepson, Kyle, stepdaughter, Anna and her husband, Andrew, as part of the family as well. In 2015, her eldest son, Blake, married Kaleigh and also, Anna and Andrew welcomed the arrival of their daughter, Emma.

Early in her career, she received the nationally recognized “Accredited Buyers Representative” designation that prepared her to represent buyer clients. In the summer of 2014, she received the new, nationally recognized designation “Seller Representative Specialist” which is the premier credential in seller representation. In 2013, she was nominated for the “Cooperative Spirit Award” by her fellow realtors in the Tuscaloosa Association of Realtors, which indicates that she always makes a concerted effort to work closely with her clients and associates. In 2015, Dana established the local Black Warrior chapter of BNI and currently serves as President. Dana has over ten years of experience working as a full-time realtor at Hamner Real Estate, LLC and she is now at Re/Max Premiere Group.

Dana embodies the honesty, hard work, and aggressive energy exhibited by any successful realtor. What sets Dana above the crowd is her loyal clientele, personal references, repeat business and extensive knowledge of the Tuscaloosa real estate market. With over 10-years experience as a full-time buying and selling real estate specialist, she enjoys working with both new and experienced home buyers, sharing her knowledge about the process of smoothly purchasing that dream home or offering real solutions to help prepare a seller’s home to stand out in today’s market.

Dana knows life doesn’t always go according to plan and she understands that the process of buying and selling a home can be, at times, complex, emotional and stressful. Fortunately, Dana knows real estate is all about bringing buyers and sellers together. She efficiently and professionally guides her clients through all of the aspects associated in the complicated process of buying and selling a home.

Dana is a firm believer in giving back and is particularly passionate about hospice. Dana supports a cause that is close to her heart by contributing a percentage of every house she sells to Hospice of West Alabama. She regularly volunteers with several local organizations included in the Tuscaloosa Association of Realtors Community Projects Committee and she is a board member of Pride of Tuscaloosa.

She was very responsive to texts and calls, had great understanding of home buying process and negotiating, and did great work helping get my non-typical type house purchase to close.     Dana works with clients as if she's going to be your next door neighbor! She's enthusiastic about your home meeting your needs and fitting your lifestyle no matter what stage of home-buying you are in. She knew I was interested in one particular area so she worked hard to get the word out to potential sellers that she had a client that was really interested in buying and jumped at the chance to show me a home that became available where I wanted to be! She did her homework and found just what I needed in a very timely manner. She answered a million questions and covered all the details with a smile. She's great to work with and you'll not only find a great home you'll gain a wonderful friend!
