I started in Real Estate in Central London England as an office junior in 1984 at 16, When the UK market crashed late 88 I was the youngest Estate Agent in the top 5 income producing agents within a 100 strong sales team. I packed my backpack and travelled around the world for 18 months starting in India and ending in Miami before returning to London. In 1993 my partners and I set up a full service real estate company Tylden Lofts & Calvert in The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea handling everything from Sales, Investments, Developement, Project Management, Rentals and HOA management. TLC real estate is still thriving today under new management most of who were trained by myself and partner. I met and fell in Love with a southern bell from Bon Secour in a pub on Parsons Green in London at a party in 1996. After 20 years of being in the London real estate market owning a number of investment properties on 4 continents we decided In 2004 to move to Gulf Shores and start a family of our own, we have 2 glorious boys Jasper 8 & Cassius 4 and made the banks of Bon Secour River our home, I joined The ProTeam at RE/MAX of Gulf Shores which has been the No 1 sales team for the past 7 years, Having travelled the world and vacationed on all 7 of what were then considered the most beautiful beaches in the world, I was shocked in 1997 when I first saw the beaches of Gulf Shores & Orange Beach with soft white sandy beaches generally associated with the Caribbean and west coast of Florida. There is a thriving vacation rental business and many people aspire to retire here one day, in the mean time they rent their gulf front condos or houses to help the running expenses of owning in this beautiful area. As our market rebounds rapidly many are netting profits per annum from their rental investments as an ever increasing number of visitors to the area boosting Baldwin County economy close to 3 billion a year and growing still, it is considered one of the top 10 family destinations in the USA. My experience of travelling & investing in real estate worldwide pinpointing growth areas has given me a great education over the past 30 years which I enjoy sharing when advising my clients whether buying or selling a home, gulf front investment or building a portfolio of properties for their retirement.
