The Depot in Old Town Helena is fabulous for kids or adults. The hamburgers are juicy and the tater tots are just what the kids want. If you go, you have to get the onion rings! These are the best around town! As you eat lunch you can sit outside on the covered deck and enjoy the waterfall of the Cahaba River.

This little red caboose is located in Old Town Helena. Lots of teenagers go here to take pictures for Homecoming and prom every year. It is part of the town History. The "L & N" represents the former Louisville and Nashville Railroad. This old railroad line used to serve numerous mines of the Cahaba Coal Field and the coke ovens near the neighborhood Falliston.

Old Town Helena has a great atmosphere. Especially close to the Old Town subdivision. You can walk down to the Cahaba River and even swim near the waterfall. There are shops and restaurants, unlike in other cities. It still has the small-town feel and lots of history remaining in this old train town.
