Caroline's Cart was developed by an Alabaster Mom, Drew Ann Long. The cart is specially designed for parents and caregivers of special needs children. Having a special seat as part of the cart allows the parent/caregiver to grocery shop without having to maneuver a cart and wheelchair. This cart is in many large retailers in the US as well as Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Norway. And it all began with a sketch on a napkin made by an Alabaster Mom with a special need for her child.

If you love Italian cuisine, you must try Joe's Italian in Alabaster! It's one of my personal favorites, and even when we are really hungry, my husband and I usually split an entree (they are huge)! And that's so we have room to at least take a few bites of a ginormous slice of homemade cake that we will take home to enjoy the next day. Seriously, it could easily satisfy four people! Our personal favorite is a strawberry/chocolate layered wonder. It's so gorgeous that I'll have to post photos. We love Joe's! I don't know of anywhere in town where we can eat so much wonderful food and come away feeling stuffed with a modest tab. We give Joe's five stars for fabulous food at a great value!
